ReplyGood information that I hope I can somehow use. I think I will try to listen to it again before you take it off your website and jot down some notes.

ReplyCiao!
Very very cool interview! I found a lot interesting, but what I found interesting is the part with the quote ‘The artist is more important than the art’ and how some artists can be offended by it.
I never had that. I’ve always wanted to share my inspiration, my thoughts behind a piece of painting. Not because I was afraid that people wouldn’t understand what I was drawing, but more like an extension of my own imaginative world. Whenever I send out a painting, I always add a handwritten note with a little ramble story about the art. It only invites people into my world, a world that I want to share with everyone ^_^.
I know that there’s this idea that artists like to keep an air of mystery around art work and let it have an life of its own. Just like writers say ‘Oh the character really told me how to write his story line. I merely typed’ of course this can be true, but it doesn’t mean that you have to keep it a secret. People are curious creatures, they usually want to know more about you and what you’re creating.
Maybe it’s because I haven’t an art background myself, that it makes sense to share the process and my thoughts more easily? I don’t know haha.
Thanks for sharing all this little nuggets of gold. I will certainly incorporate it in my own business!
/end ramble comment.
